Aquaculture will meet in the Los Lagos Region: Aquasur Dinner 2023 will take place in August

The Aquasur Dinner “Gastronomic Experience: connecting the sea from aquaculture” will bring together the aquaculture world on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the Hotel Enjoy in Puerto Varas, convening about 500 leaders of the industry with the aim of highlighting and enhancing the relevance of aquaculture for the country. The meeting of the aquaculture sector will provide a new experience, seeking to generate networking opportunities between public and private institutions, fish farmers, authorities, suppliers and entrepreneurs, fostering long-term links that enhance learning and joint growth. The event is organized by Aquasur, of the GL events Group, with the collaboration of the Cocinamar Foundation, and sponsored by SalmonChile, the Magallanes Salmon Farmers Association and the Salmon Council. To connect the sector from the haute cuisine, five gastronomic experiences will be presented, offering the opportunity to taste exclusive cuisine elaborations, with products cultivated by fish farmers, including oysters, mussels, seaweed, oysters, and salmon, among others. The event will be a meeting point for the actors that make possible the development of the southern austral zone from aquaculture, with the participation of authorities, guilds, unions, fish farmers, workers and the entire aquaculture community. Fisa’s assistant general manager, Rodrigo Lobo, indicated that “we are happy to present gastronomy that highlights the products provided by aquaculture, which will be a unique experience for all participants. We will also present the guidelines for Aquasur 2024, the largest aquaculture meeting in the Southern Hemisphere, which will be held in Puerto Montt with the premiere of a new and optimized venue”. Likewise, the manager of Aquasur 2024, Paula Miranda, invited all the representatives of the aquaculture world to take part in this meeting. “As organizers of Aquasur, we know the relevance of aquaculture for the Southern South Zone, to find ourselves as an industry is key to promote the development, innovation and incorporation of new technologies for the sustainability of this activity”.
